ARRCN Symposium Update – International Student Grant

| Posted in BERITA

The ARRCN is planning to establish an “International Students Grant” to provide partial travel fees or a “special award” for a limited number of students in each Asian country who have been keen on raptor research and conservation. This “special award” is US. $ 500 which will be provided to 2 students who will make their presentations based upon the continued excellence of their continued raptor research.

Students who would like to receive ISG should make their own presentations on raptor research or conservation activities at this Symposium. In other words, a partial travel support can be given to a limited number of students whose papers are accepted for presentation at the Symposium.

Although the amount of support per student is dependent on the number of applicants, the maximum amount of support is half of the round-trip airline expenses due to fund limitations.

If you want to apply to the ISG, please send me (t-yamaza@mx.biwa.ne.jp) an abstract of your presentation by the end of May. Applicants will be notified of results around the middle of June by the ARRCN secretariat.

Since the fund of ISG is very small, ARRCN can support a limited number of students who will contribute to raptor research and conservation in Asia. Therefore, I strongly hope that you will do your best to locate other funds towards acquiring travel fees to join this important ARRCN 11th Symposium in Bali, Indonesia.
